At the age of 12, Patsy Gallian’s mother passed away from cancer, and she vividly remembers her father sitting at a table in their home trying to make sense of all the bills they had received. At that moment she knew she wanted to help others in her father’s position and to help relieve some of the stress from families who have been impacted by cancer. This realization eventually blossomed into a successful career in the medical industry, specifically in the sub-field of Oncology. Over the years Patsy has worked for numerous medical facilities and companies that focus on cancer treatment, and she has been able to mold her career and skills around her passion for Oncology. On a daily basis, Patsy uses her plethora of skills in medical billing to ensure the billing process is as stress-free and efficient as possible and also as a way to give back to her community by helping families and individuals in their time of need.

Patsy Gallian graduated from Colorado Technical University with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and hit the ground running. From her first professional position in her field, Patsy accomplished many significant achievements and had continued to go above and beyond throughout her career. Between 2005-2007 she worked as the Site Administrator for CBIZ Medical Management Professionals and managed all aspects of operation and reimbursement for the radiology imaging centers at multiple locations. During her time there she significantly reduced accounts receivable days from 74 to 55 in just four months. Patsy also increased the centers’ performance levels within six months of starting her position by implementing more effective action plans. In 2007, Patsy Gallian began working with Texas Cancer Associates and over the course of two years as Business Office Manager she was responsible for resolving any issues with the Revenue Cycle process and improved overall performance. Patsy also oversaw all areas of revenue management such as scheduling, benefit verification, financial counseling, billing, collections, and self-pay collection. Her most significant accomplishments include: increasing the revenue and decreasing debt while simultaneously improving patient service in a cancer center; and she increased the referral volume by 3% by strengthening client and doctor relationships.

Over the next six years of her career as Senior Revenue Cycle Manager with US Bioservices Specialty Pharmacy Patsy Gallian was in charge of managing a $75 million accounts receivable specialty pharmacy portfolio and performed multiple analyses to identify areas of weakness and develop improvements. She also maintained government purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate billing cycles. In this role, Patsy Gallian gained additional expertise in various types of billing and collection including: Major Medical, PBM, Medicare A/B, DME and part D. Over the next several years Patsy worked for several companies in Texas where she ensured revenue maximization through timely and accurate billing, managed an entire reimbursement line, oversaw accounts receivable, and integrated policies and procedures to ensure all the companies’ processes related to billing were compliant with regulations. In 2017, Patsy began working for CenseoHealth in Dallas, Texas. As the Director of Managed Care and the Revenue Cycle, she was responsible for developing and executing all processes related to medical billing. Patsy also collected data from patient evaluations to identify areas that may need improvement and forms a plan to fix any discrepancies. Patsy Gallian went on to found Revivify Revenue Cycle Consulting, a full-service healthcare revenue cycle company-built on a strong foundation of values that goes beyond law, and culture that is beyond compliance.

Outside of work, Patsy Gallian belongs to a female empowerment group called Women’s Empowerment Collective. The group aims to help women by advancing their careers by producing conferences, small business panels, and networking events. The group was founded to create creative solutions and solve problems women may face during their careers.
